Creating a color scheme for an entire space doesn't have to be a daunting task. My suggestion is find an item that inspires you, then start building your room upon that inspiration. My inspirational piece for this mood board was the gold and blue stitched throw pillow. Once you've established your inspiration it's easy to layer in similar items to bring your color scheme to life. As you continue to add in new items pay close attention to textures and finishes. These elements are the things that make the space unique and one of a kind. To keep things simple, select large furnishings such as sofas, chairs, and lighting in neutral colors so you can update your design with minimal effort as often as you like.
